After a four-month break SKILL-MAX project introduces a new championship called SKILL-MAX Mini Tech.
The championship is held like an experimental one and the first season is in a test mode.
Leaders of "the top 3" will receive special certificates from SKILL-MAX project as awards.
Right after the end of the first season the project management is planning to organize further development of the championship.
Tournament registration is absolutely free and it opens on 15 February 2010.
The first stage of the tournament starts on 1 March 2010 and the first map pack will be available for download.

The World Cyber Games was more committed than ever to make esports accessible to every type of gamer around the world in WCG 2009 Grand Final. This year's lineup not only featured wide variety of Official Game Title of Xbox 360 and PC games, but we expanded the number of mobile games (Asphalt 4, Wise Star 2). Also, WCG was opened to several promotional game titles (ex: Company of heroes online, D&F), and regional tournaments (ex: AMD mini WCG with D&F). With these efforts, we tried to make the 2009 Grand Final to be the more diverse and exciting one.

WCG believe we can make our event more accessible by adding of new game titles and innovative promotional leagues. Since they are completely new and easier to master, more esports fans and casual gamers can actually aim for WCG tournament. In other words, they can try their best shots with higher possibilities and more hopes to be champions. For instance, this year's new game title Asphalt 4 champion from Chinese Taipei, a general casual gamer with dedications and practices, could make a huge feat in WCG 2009 Grand Final. that's what make "new game titles" valuable.

Ubisoft has bought out Trackmania developer, Nadeo. Here is what Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot had to say:
